Professor Maurizio Cumo, past president of ICHMT, passed away on January 1, 2024. He also served as the chair and the vice-chair of the Executive Committee. He was the recipient of ICHMT’s Luikov Medal and ICHMT Fellowship Award. We extend our condolences to his family and friends.

In Memoriam: Richard J. Goldstein

We sadly learned that ICHMT’s past president Professor Richard J. Goldstein passed away yesterday afternoon (on March 6, 2023). He was an active member of the ICHMT Executive Committee, and the recipient of 1990 Luikov Medal and 2004 ICHMT Fellowship Award. We will miss him dearly. We sadly learned that ICHMT's past vice-president and a former Executive Committee member, Professor Alexander I. Leontiev passed away on 30.11.2022. We extend our condolences to his family and friends.

Professor Raymond Viskanta, past Scientific Council member of ICHMT, passed away on December 27, 2021. He was a highly respected researcher known for his many contributions to heat and mass transfer. Professor Avram Bar-Cohen, past President of the Assembly for International Heat Transfer Conferences (AIHTC) and a recipient of the Luikov Medal, passed away on Saturday, October 10, 2020. We will miss him dearly. We extend our condolences to his family and friends.

Dr. Michael Mishchenko passed away unexpectedly. We extend our condolences to his family and friends.

Professor Mário Costa, a member of the Scientific Council of ICHMT, unexpectedly passed away on Wednesday, June 3, 2020. We extend our condolences to his family and friends.

Professor Graham de Vahl Davis, past President of ICHMT, passed away on Tuesday, December 24, 2019. We will miss him dearly. We sadly learned that ICHMT past Secretary General Professor Naim Afgan passed away on 23.10.2019 in Belgrade. We extend our condolences to his family and friends.

Professor Buxuan Wang, a member of the Scientific Council of ICHMT, passed away on August 31, 2019. He was a highly respected professor and researcher known for his many contributions to heat and mass transfer. We extend our condolences to his family and friends.

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Professor Ephraim Sparrow August 1, 2019. He was a highly respected professor and researcher known worldwide for his many contributions to all aspects of heat transfer and fluid mechanics. He will be missed by many, researchers and students alike. 

Professor Geoff F. Hewitt, past President of ICHMT, passed away on Friday, January 18, 2019. We will miss him dearly. We extend our condolences to his family and friends.
